Police and Crime Panel Meeting

12 November 2021

On Friday 12 November, the PCC attended the Police and Crime Panel meeting in Winchester.

The Hampshire Police and Crime Panel is responsible for scrutinising and supporting the Police and Crime Commissioner.

Meetings of the Panel are held in public. Members of the public are encouraged to attend meetings and submit questions.

The Panel is made up of representatives from each of the local authorities in the Hampshire Constabulary area, which includes the cities of Portsmouth and Southampton, the eleven Hampshire Borough and District councils, and the Counties of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. In order to better meet the balanced appointment objective, three additional local authority members have been co-opted to the Panel following agreement from the Home Secretary. Two non-political members of the Panel are also appointed to add to the collective spread of experience and knowledge.
