Alex Rennie – Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner

Alex Rennie was appointed Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight in September 2025. Prior to this role, Alex served as Leader of Havant Borough Council from 2021 to 2024 and was a Councillor for six years. He brings a strong background in public service and community engagement.

Alex was also the co-founder of UK Friends of Ukraine, an organisation dedicated to providing humanitarian and political support to Ukraine. Before entering public office, he trained as a journalist and worked for several local newspapers across Hampshire and Wiltshire, giving him a deep understanding of local issues and the communities he now serves.
