“As I was holding the Chief Constable to account on Tuesday, I always welcome the democratic accountability that is reflected in my attendance at the Police and Crime Panel sessions.”

Michael Lane continued:

“The session on Friday focused on progress with my delivery plan and the estates strategy. The Panel also chose to proactively scrutinise rural policing, which is a timely follow on from my recent Rural Communities Matter conferences. Their research and thoughts will add value and inform the update planned for my rural strategy.”
