PCC responds to needs of partners during COVID-19 crisis

26 March 2020

Police and Crime Commissioner Michael Lane has re-iterated his commitment to continue to support the delivery of essential services to victims of crime and vulnerable members of our communities during the COVID-19 crisis.

The Commissioner’s team have written to partners asking for their service delivery plans during the crisis in order to establish those areas where funding will be needed most in the coming months.

The Commissioner says: “We are currently facing unprecedented and dynamically changing times. We need to work together to respond to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. The circumstances we face today and in the next few months will allow us the opportunity to be the best we can be, to support our neighbours and communities, and fight this health battle. I shall do all I can to support our partners who are delivering vital services to victims of crime and the most vulnerable in our communities.”

Further updates will be provided in the next couple of weeks as to how the OPCC plans to support the needs of partners and communities across Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Southampton going forward.
