Candidate briefing day two

The Office of the PCC will be holding two briefing days for potential candidates for the 2020 election. Candidates and their agent can book a place.


Day two: an introduction to Hampshire Constabulary.

This briefing will cover strategic context, force management statement, financial position, police officer uplift and recruitment update, contact management programme, local policing and violence prevention, investigation demand, and staff association meetings.


Presentations and information will be delivered on:

  • Strategic context
  • Force management statement, risk, performance and productivity
  • Financial position
  • Hampshire Constabulary People Strategy and shared services
  • Police officer uplift and recruitment update
  • Digital strategy and Contact Management Programme
  • Local policing and violence prevention
  • Investigation demand and plan
  • Staff association meetings, including Hampshire Federation and Unison


Please note: All candidates are invited to attend the briefing, but we request that each candidate only bring one additional person with them.

In order to ensure transparency in the election process these briefing sessions will be filmed and published on this website. Those attending will be asked to complete appropriate consent forms for their inclusion in such filming and publication.
