Comment from Donna Jones, Police and Crime Commissioner for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight: “I am extremely disappointed the Wickham Horse Fair has gone ahead and the GRT community have ignored the communication that this event has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 restrictions.

Meeting the Chief Constable and getting out into the community have been the first actions of new Police and Crime Commissioner, Donna Jones, who has officially taken up office today. 

To date there have been eight jury trials heard at Winchester Crown Court since the lockdown has eased, and from this week a second court room has been set up with social distancing measures to allow for more cases to be heard.
